Location & Activities
There is plenty to do in Saundersfoot – hours of fun on the beautiful beach, wonderful walks to Coppet Hall Beach, Wiseman’s Bridge and Monkstone point, enjoying shopping at a range of independent shops and ensuring a full tummy at one of the delightful cafes and restaurants. Throughout the year there are a wide range of events including sailing events, triathlons, food and drink festivals as well as the famous New Year’s Day Swim.
Further afield there is the larger town of Tenby with even more fabulous blue flag beaches as well as St Catherine’s island or why not take a boat to Calder Island. For foodie heaven Narbarth is well worth a visit with more gorgeous eateries. There are fantastic walks all along the Pembrokeshire Way including Barafundle Bay, Bosherton Lakes, or even along the coast to Tenby. If castles are your passion then Carew Castle is nearby with its unique tidal mill, the only restored one in Wales and just one of 5 in the UK.
To entertain the children if they were ever to get bored of the beach (as if that could happen!) then Folly Farm is a short drive away with its outdoor and indoor play areas as well as exploring the zoo. At the Dinosaur Park you can dig for fossils and discover the long lost creatures on the dinosaur trail. We really hope the weather will be beautiful and sunny but should there be a little bit of rain then painting pottery in the village, enjoying the amusement arcade or having fun at the indoor water park at the Blue Lagoon is a sure fire way to keep everyone entertained.
Finally for a unique experience you could walk an alpaca in Manobier, whizz along the Welsh roads in a quirky tuk tuk or try paddle boarding at Coppet Hall Beach.
